Send us films!

AVC is now accepting submissions for our 2012 Visualize Change fundraiser.  We are looking for films that portray positive images of Africa, the importance of local initiatives to the international development process and/or ordinary people empowered to create change.  We seek especially to showcase African filmmakers, but we welcome filmmakers of all nationalities.

The selected films will be shown to audiences of 50-100 students, activists and philanthropists in New York in Spring of 2012.The screenings will be followed by a question and answer session with AVC founder Caitlin Kelley and a panel of experts.  A biography of each filmmaker (as well as contact information) will be included in our event program.

Films must be 10 to 60 minutes in length and submitted by December 1st. Please submit digital files to caitlin@africavolunteercorps.org via Dropbox. DVD’s should be sent to Denice Dorchak, 415 Madison Ave, Fl 10, New York, NY 10017. Films must be received by December 1st to be considered for inclusion in our 2012 event.  Films sent after this deadline will be kept for consideration in future events.
